Mel of Chew Valley Weddings, guided us through the process of arranging our big day, and assisting us along the way with gentle reminders and suggestions. It was incredibly helpful to have guidance on recommended suppliers in the area, especially as we live quite a distance from the site. Mel was always on hand via email or phone to answer all our questions quickly and efficiently, and make sure we had everything covered, even down to booking additional portaloos, hay bales for seating and ensuring that we had thought of everything that we needed.
The setting itself is unique, and was a wonderful place to have our special day. We held the ceremony outdoors overlooking the lake, with guests either staying on-site in the beautiful glamping accommodation provided by Nature’s Spectacular, or locally in nearby Airbnbs. Our wedding feast was then held in the main tipis, which we decorated ourselves, and then the evening party continued here with live music and a DJ. The tipis are beautiful, with the fairy lights, disco balls and fire outside creating exactly the kind of ambience we had hoped for.
